If You’re Reading This, I’m Dead: A Dirty Laundry Thriller
About
A Hollywood studio hires Mariella, kickass fixer, to find Bo Lyons, a hot star who has just vanished
Bo Lyons has finally made it in Hollywood. Her first movie is about to be released in theatres. The film critics love it. Everything is perfect, except when it’s not.
Just before the movie’s release, a series of articles about Bo is published, claiming she is an abusive, racist, psychopath. A Thread Book group, vowing to get her cancelled, goes viral.
Bo and the studio are in turmoil. They hire Mariella Johnson to expose who is making up fake stories about Bo and why. Just as Mariella begins her investigations, Bo is kidnapped, with threats to her safety unless the movie is cancelled, costing the studio at least a billion dollars in lost revenue.
Mariella (and her team of I.T. geeks and P.I.s) splinter off in different directions, from London to the Mojave Desert, to get to the bottom of what happened to Bo and whether there is any hope of finding her alive.
But who is in the frame? Is it Bo? Is it The Studio? Could it be her own father? Mariella will rule out the suspects one by one, until the worst possible culprit is left exposed or framed.
